Went outside, touched grass

Landing in a grass field on a Wednesday night? Not usually on my calendar. So when a message came in "Velvet Boheme", suddenly my heels slowly sank into the sand.

I will admit that before rushing over, I looked at my outfit and thought: this works. Well, it worked for the life I had been living approximately twenty minutes earlier. For a festival, less so. The good thing about festivals is nobody looks twice when you disappear behind a tree and return in flip-flops. I consider this one of their greatest qualities.

What luckily, I had put in my bag, was my camera. Because at festivals the light is generous and start being even more beautiful the minute they sit in the grass. The images came out well. Most of them. I do owe Cole an apology. I told him I had him, which I believed at the time. The camera had other ideas. Something about the focus being unable to keep up. Cole, sweetheart, I'm sorry. Next time you have my full attention and a backup lens.
