Blue. Period.
Saturday was one of those nights where the invites had piled up and I was already mentally choreographing routes between venues like I was planning a heist. It worried me. As it turns out, I'm much less of a party hopper than I think I am. When I land somewhere good, I stay. Does that mean I probably missed other great opportunities? Maybe. But I've gotten less precious about FOMO. Wherever I am has to be the best place to be.
A good number of people agreed with me at VICE (SLurl), where it was time for the one year celebration of Depp Dhara’s creation. The space is different. Blue everywhere. Roux summed it up perfectly: "Blue is my favorite color." That does help. If it's absolutely not, you might get triggered.
But getting triggered is what we all did, over great beats, the right outfits, the right faces in the right place. The room moved. It bounced. We were in sync. In the midst of it all, Depp, watching what vision and consistency can build in a year.
