Friendship Valley Lit Up the Grid
Yesterday, Ribeata had turned into the place to be.
The Friendship Valley Music Fest opened its gates and people kept pouring in. Something good was happening here and they weren’t about to miss it.
From the very first set the music carried across the valley while the crowd did what crowds at good festivals always do: dance a little, explore a little, flirt a little, disappear into the night and then show up again near the stage like nothing happened.
Friday’s lineup kept the momentum going all day with sets from Lio Cruz, Katt, Phorbin, DJCK, Maya, Cipher, Kaylee Wickentower, Tami Nova, Invad3r, Crème, and H. One DJ handing the energy straight to the next while the field in front of the stage slowly turned into a small moving ecosystem of dancers, artists, friends and strangers becoming less strange.
And visually? Exactly what you want from a festival. People showed up like they’d been waiting months for this moment and stage lights cutting through the trees while the valley filled with color, movement and music. Everywhere you looked something was happening. A conversation. A colorfull pill switching hands. A kiss. Someone discovering a new favorite DJ. Someone else discovering they probably should have eaten before the festival started.
The organising team clearly put an enormous amount of care into building this event. It showed in details, in the flow of the sets, and in the way the whole place feels alive. And the best part is that this was only the first day.
The Friendship Valley Music Fest continues today, Saturday March 7, starting at 8AM SLT, with another full lineup. If yesterday was any indication, the valley isn’t done yet. So if you’re looking for music, a great crowd, and one of those rare moments where the grid feels like a real festival ground… You know where to go.
