Put Some Clothes On
Oh, glorious, long, hot, sexy summer. We have to say goodbye.
You know I always love you the most, but this year you came onto me hard. We had our fun, obviously, but you kept wanting more. Longer. Hotter. And for some reason you seemed absolutely determined to strip me of my clothes at every possible opportunity.
At times it started to feel like we were in a slightly toxic relationship.
Although I've never looked hotter. And that says something.
But now autumn is upon us, and we're gradually sliding back into a more coherent lifestyle. One where we can actually dress ourselves again.
I know, I know. Try not to be too disappointed. But really, taking your clothes off is so much better than simply not wearing them in the first place. The anticipation. The build-up. The suspense. Clothes serve a purpose, people, even if that purpose is ultimately to end up somewhere on the floor.
So autumn is here, and I'm very much ready for it.
Nowhere has that transition felt more obvious than at Velvet Bohème over the past couple of days, where Sanctum settled in for two sessions that seemed perfectly suited to the changing season.
The first brought Lili and Invad3r behind the decks. Yesterday it was Seven, followed by Thirteen. Basically, a numbers game.
You do the math.
The sounds were smooth, the beats were slow and the moves seductive. Everything felt just a little darker, warmer and more intimate. Less summer screaming at you to get naked immediately, more autumn leaning in and suggesting that perhaps we take our time.
I can work with that.
If this is what autumn is going to sound and feel like, we're in for three glorious months.
Summer, darling, you were wonderful.
Now put some clothes on.
