So, you know me by now.
I've been nothing but real with you. We have no secrets from each other, I've shared things with you that would make most people's lawyers nervous, and I love you almost as much as you adore me. So I think we can just agree that yesterday's party was absolutely awesome, that you were all fabulous for showing up, and that we had an incredible time together.
Which I understand, of course.
I mean, I am Doreen.
But apparently, that's not good enough for my team. They feel it's time to put out an official statement. You know, one of those carefully worded things people publish after celebrating their rezdays, thanking everyone involved, expressing their gratitude and generally making it sound like they've just accepted an Academy Award.
I got into a rather heated argument with Tamsyn about it this morning. She insists it's important to acknowledge everyone properly. I suspect she just wants another opportunity to put her name on something associated with me. She's been getting rather ambitious lately, and I'm starting to wonder whether I should have her sign an agreement about who gets top billing.
But frankly, I'm far too hungover to deal with any of this right now.
Besides, I have much more pressing matters to attend to. I came home with eight phone numbers from cute guys, five from absolutely gorgeous women, and one from someone… well I suppose I'll find out.
So, rather than spending the afternoon arguing with my management about the appropriate way to express gratitude, I've agreed to let them handle it.
Here goes.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Today's final photo is, as usual, of me. This time, however, it was taken by Sahra Little, who recently started capturing party memories herself. And she's doing a fabulous job of it! You can check out her wonderful work here, and I think this particular shot is a perfect example of her talent. Of course, having me as a subject probably helps a little.
