Did someone tell you already it's Halloween?
Because by now, I feel like I've been to Hell and back at least 666 times, and from what I can tell, we're still not done. Yes, my friends. We are in Hell and frankly, I'm beginning to feel rather at home here.
Now, I've told you about my stance on religion before. I'm not particularly concerned with what happens after we die, mostly because I'm far too busy enjoying what happens before. But if there does turn out to be an afterlife, and someone up there has been keeping track of my activities, I think we can safely assume which direction I'll be heading.
Down.
All the way down.
And since I firmly believe in contingency planning, I've already started looking into ways of making my eventual stay there as enjoyable as possible. After all, if eternity really means eternity, you'd better make sure you've got something interesting to do. And believe me, after this Halloween, I think I've got a pretty good idea. I know how to seduce a demon, how to make a devil spew fire, and how to get a fallen angel up again.
And that's just what I learned this week.
Because Halloween, my lovelies, is a sinner's delight. I don't know what it is with you people, but the moment you put on those costumes, something happens. All those inhibitions you normally carry around, all those little rules you pretend to live by, all those desires you keep carefully tucked away suddenly seem to disappear. Or rather, they come out.
And oh, do they come out. The horns, the tails, the fangs, the claws, the leather, the latex, the barely-there outfits and the things I don't even have names for. It's as if all of you collectively decided to stop pretending to be respectable for a few weeks. And I'm absolutely loving it.
Welcome to my club, darlings.
Actually, forget the usual membership. At this point, I think you've all qualified for an afterlifetime subscription. No cancellation policy, you're in for eternity. With me.
Now, if I had to characterize this year's Halloween in one word, it would be indulge.
Indulge in the music, indulge in the madness, indulge in each other. Forget about behaving yourselves, forget about appearances, forget about what people might think. Although, personally, I would never recommend forgetting about appearances entirely. Some standards must be maintained, even in Hell. But seriously.
You filthy sinners.
You dirty minds.
You raging fires.
I cannot get enough of you.
Everywhere I look, there's another gorgeous creature demanding my attention. Another devil worth making a deal with, another angel begging to fall, another beautiful monster I'd happily let drag me into the darkness. And the problem is, I simply can't choose.
I want all of you. I need all of you.
Greedy? Perhaps. But surely that's one of the sins that got us here in the first place, so why stop now? And if this really is what Hell looks like, I may have to reconsider my entire position on eternal damnation. Because, darling, just look at this hellish hotness.
