E.T. Bone Home

It has been an exciting couple of days this week. I’ve told you about all of that already, and frankly I’m just glad to still be in one piece. A gorgeous one.

Still, the excitement was apparently raging a little higher than was medically advisable, and perhaps I should have known better than to go to the Continental yesterday evening. I know, I know, you will probably say: “Of course not, Doreen. If they’re having a party at the baths, that is precisely where you go when you’re looking for excitement!”

And you’d probably be right. But it got the better of me.
I lost control a little.
Possibly more than a little.

I’m still not sure whether I should be proud, ashamed or simply add the whole thing to the growing pile of evidence against me. But I do feel I need to tell you, my closest friends as we meet here, because obviously I trust your judgement far more than my own at this point.

So.

I arrived a little early, found myself a nice spot at the side of the pool and watched everyone slowly emerge from the elevator. Some friends, some people I knew by face, some people I recognised by other body parts that were considerably more visible and some entirely new bodies. I felt hopeful.

Then, as I was casually letting my eyes wander around the room, I noticed Xeno. I’ve told you about Xeno before. He’s an alien and he’s rather well endowed. Neither of these facts was new information. What was new was the gold ornament he was wearing around his probing device… and something happened in my brain.

I don’t know whether it was the gold, the scent of the baths, the size of the aforementioned equipment, or simply the fact that my excitement levels were already somewhere far beyond recommended limits, but it got the better of me. Completely.

Repeating exactly what happened next might be a little premature. I need time to reflect and possibly under a hot shower. For quite a while. Then perhaps we can discuss it like adults.

Oh, there were quite a few people around as well and I have the uncomfortable feeling that some of them may have seen and heard what happened. So if patience isn’t your thing, you could always ask around. Find one of the witnesses pictured here maybe.

Just bear in mind that whatever they tell you is their version of events.

I was vulnerable. He had gold on it.
