Not Wearing Much

And we were back at the beach.

After the opening of that place with all the clothing stores, it only made sense to immediately drop most of what we'd bought and feel the sand between our toes again.

The Drip has been consistently taking its events to the beach lately, and I've told you before how there seems to be no escaping pools, beaches and various other excuses for wearing very little this summer. I'm ready to move indoors again. That's all I'm saying.

Although I will admit that everyone keeps telling me how much they enjoy seeing my body, which complicates my position somewhat. I've worked hard for it. I see you looking. I notice the cameras clicking. And you know how generously I like to share my beauty with all of you. I can only hope it brings you some of the relief you've so clearly been aching for.

So yes, it's a two-sided issue. I suffer. You benefit. Somehow we carry on.

Fortunately, the beach itself is great and Nikky really has this down by now. Good hosts, DJs bringing great sets and splendid faces everywhere you look. The Drip has become very good at creating afternoons that don’t need much more. You arrive, lose some clothing, find your people and several hours have disappeared. So even as the sun begins to set on this summer, I'm still enjoying it, don't get me wrong.

But I have also heard Nikky making noises about something different. So far, all I've managed to get out of her is a name: The Slowdown, scheduled for later this month.

That's it.

Naturally, I'm curious. And getting me curious is usually either a very good idea or a spectacularly bad one.

We'll find out.

Until then, though, this was the beach. Again.
