Providing Context

So I was Ubering around last Sunday. People to do, clubs to see, things to buy in sales. You know how it is.

Busy.

At some point I landed at Bardeco for a while. Their Sundays are a regular spot on the calendar and even I appreciate a little regularity in my life. Whenever I'm at Bardeco, I know it's Sunday and the weekend is almost over.

I forget that sometimes.

Perhaps I should go there more often.

This Sunday I had another reason to stop by, because Sahra was playing her first set there. I've known her for a while now. I met her at Valmoor some time ago, just before she made her debut there, and ran into her last week at Sonance.

You may remember Sonance. The pool. Whatever Katt put in the water.

Sahra was there too.
I'm not making excuses for anything that happened in that pool. I'm merely providing context.

Anyway.

On Sunday she was behind the decks again, doing her thing, and once again I liked what she was doing to me. Although this time it was a rather different sensory experience.

Probably healthier too.

One advantage was that I was better able to wield my camera. My hands were steady, my concentration had returned and image stabilization didn't have to perform miracles just to produce photographs. Progress.

A lot of you were there. Some of you are here.

And unlike certain events from the evening, I have pictures to show you.
