Drop Dead Gorgeous
I'm a woman of culture.
You know this, obviously. You've been following me here long enough to understand that I set high standards, raise them whenever I feel like it, and then live up to them with remarkable ease. Whether it's fashion, beauty, accomplishments, or simply the extraordinary achievement of being me, I deliver.
Oh, and vanity of course. I've pretty much perfected that too.
So naturally, when a cultural phenomenon makes its way into the club scene, I'm all over it. These days, Valmoor is celebrating Día de los Muertos, and for a club where the line between decency and scandalous behaviour regularly disappears, blurring the line between the living and the dead hardly seems like much of a stretch. Amirite?
But let's address the most important aspect of this cultural celebration.
Shopping. And dressing up. My team was absolutely elated, as you can imagine. After all the harrowing press we've had lately, it was wonderful to focus on something positive for a change. Even if that meant seeing dead people.
Someone who's very clearly living his best life, though, is VOGEL. I've known him for some weeks now, and he's one of those people you meet somewhere one evening, in my case on a lovely Monday at Little Mistake where he was playing his tunes, and then slowly but steadily, the guy starts turning up everywhere.
VICE. The Drip. To name just a few, and now Valmoor. I'm beginning to suspect he's following me. Which, admittedly, would be understandable. I mean, look at me.
But seriously, I get why he's appearing on more and more lineups. He delivers every single time, and his sound really stands out. There's something distinctly his about what he does, and I love seeing someone whose music I enjoy getting the recognition he deserves. So yes, yesterday was a pretty fabulous night.
Gorgeous people dressed up for a special occasion, music that fit the atmosphere beautifully, and me wandering around with my lovely camera, documenting it all. Culture, people.
And apparently, all that atmosphere had a rather interesting effect on some of us, because what followed was a rather intense afterparty. Unfortunately, as policy dictates, all phones and cameras are surrendered at the door before we enter and that’s a sensible precaution, really. Especially considering recent developments involving my legal team, so you'll just have to take my word for it.
Or ask around.
Although I wouldn't necessarily believe everything you hear.
Anyway, enjoy your days among the living.
Here's what ours looked like yesterday.
